Recording the songs and score for Dating & New York was a process as colorful and unique as New York itself. Although much of the film's musical soundscape boasts a sound of yesteryear, modern and forward-thinking techniques and technology were implemented on every part of the music production process to collaborate and record artists in the middle of a global pandemic. Composer Grant Fonda worked closely with song co-writer Aidan Davis over remote sessions for three months to pen "Night Serenade," and ten months after the score began, nearly twenty artists from across Los Angeles were assembled for covid-compliant recording sessions at Scott Frankfurt Studio in Los Angeles. Recorded and mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Scott Frankfurt, the score boasts a chamber choir recorded across three states, sultry vocal performances by Hannah Rose Lewis, orchestral performances from LA's finest, and a jazz trio led by drummer Sam Webster. Director Jonah Feingold joined the Los Angeles recording sessions remotely from his home in New York in September.

Dating & New York has screened at Tribeca and is now available for rent.
