MUSIC BY GRANT FONDA
In 1928, an Irish immigrant dreams of becoming a millionaire, but ends up championing a family message.
Recorded in Los Angeles, Grant Fonda’s score for PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON weaves together traditional Irish elements with string orchestra and unusual keyboards to create a tuneful and colorful tapestry.
“From the start of this project, I was drawn to PRAY because of the character of Father Patrick Peyton - who he was, what he accomplished, and the millions of lives he influenced. Every stage of planning this film was in service of bringing that character to life: our cinematography, our interviews, and our use of archival footage. Perhaps the largest contributor in bringing this character to the screen was the unbelievable score that Grant composed.”
JONATHAN CIPITI | Director
“One of the common responses from viewers who have seen PRAY relates to the score. Grant has a zeal and passion for his work that causes music to leap off the page and into picture. he does not write a stand-alone piece; he writes a score that brings the story to life in a completely new way.”
